Conservation Volunteer Working Party on Tuesday 30th April

Please come and join us on a Tuesday at Heather Farm and assist in vital conservation work.

The activity this time is in the fenced Wetland area at Heather Farm. We will continue to construct Bug / amphibian and reptile Hotels for LinkAble and school groups to add to this year...volunteers should wear sturdy footwear with good grip and a good pair of gardening gloves or similar. The first part of the morning we will mulch the new orchard trees by the boiler barn!

Please ensure you have a sunhat and water proof depending on the forecast!

No Dogs for this one off volunteer morning please, or they can be tied up nearby for when we are in the Wetland area.

Parking is in the Main Park at Heather Farm , not Prime Acrobatics.

We welcome Duke of Edinburgh award participants but any persons under the age of 16 years must be supervised by a parent. The minimum age limit is set at 14 years.

Horsell Common Preservation Society (HCPS) own and manage areas of common land with public access including Horsell Common, Heather Farm, Pyrford Common, Littlewick Common, Woodham Common and various parcels of adjacent land. HCPS is a charity run by volunteer trustees who along with two employees Paul Rimmer - Estate Manager and Rachel Woodman - Senior Ranger are responsible for maintaining approximately 80% of Woking's open spaces, which provide vital environmental benefits for the Borough.

HCPS rely upon the time and efforts of public and corporate volunteers to assist with regular common land maintenance and for special projects including building of easy access paths.
